To touch on some of the older projects, all of the other shows are still in concept mode. Discrepo Viaticus is to a point where we are ready to step up from pre to full blown alpha, but it is still a lower priority project. With Kia Man there could be released at any random time, the original was done overnight and if there is a squeal it will be done in the same way, as always no promises. The still unnamed rail shooter we have talked about has made same rather large strides with ~80% of the story being fleshed out and the bulk of the levels outlined. It still lacks a code monkey. We will likley just develop everything we can without touching the programming so once we get a talented person on board we ca just hand it to them and almost forget it. Cisco: The Gathering, a great idea back in the day, still an Ok one now but the way its been set up we would need to start from the ground up to make it relevant as most of the jokes were too inside for many people to understand, but like DV its low priority. And then there are the ideas we have never even mentioned before and those will stay that way, for now.

All other projects are where they were since the last post, though not dead. If an idea is gone for good we will always kill it and let you know.

In regards to what is upcoming. The site will remain the same unless wordpress releases a killer template for us to switch to. For the time being Inane Talk is our focus. Discrepo Viaticus is for the most part been developed but still requires a team to be assembled before the actual work begins. Auto Gauntlet is being held at bay due to financial and logistical reasons. DC1 is the most likely project that you would see an actual release for in the foreseeable future but it would likely just be a pilot. On the final project we have, kiaman, it is complete just as it is stated on the project page. If another issue comes about it will be by surprise if the team happens to be up all night and decides he needs a followup.

It is a pleasure to announce that The Adventures of Kia Man V.1 is the first ever completed project of stevax-studios. Over the years we have started many a project but they never seem to get finished, but not today. In this new comic series join Kia Man and his sidekick Mr.Awesome on an epic tale with action, adventure, suspense, and Kia. All that is for certain is that in the end there can be only Kia.

In other news DC1 looks like it will be in development for a little while so don’t get to excited about it coming in the near future but it WILL come, as always we make cool shit… every once and a while. As well yet anouther project is in the works it being a simple rail shooter, but that’s not confirmed.

Recently there has been a standstill within the development team, hopefully this will shortly be addressed and progress will be manic. On the subject of Discrepo Viaticus we are currently working on bringing the barbarian lands, or the nords, into developmental existence. As you can see in the picture above, in the past we have just wrote ” Barbarians!” instead of actually designing their lands and towns. For now we will just work on their occupied areas on the mainland before actually delving into their homeland, as is the plan for most races with The Old Empire being our only exception due to their being a focal point within the game. Also expect for their soon to be a rough world map on the DV project page that will update as missing pieces are filled in.

stevax-studios vs 1st boss

This is the first official post on our new site at wordpress, the site is far from complete but the basic pages have been set up, and we should slowly be transferring over the data from the old site, now we can update more easily, and if we get good responses from people we may even pay to upgrade the site’s code to really give us a special look rather than these very rigid pre-fabed templates.

While updating the website, which has always been a hassle through geocities, it takes maybe 20 minutes to get it to properly load and often crashes causing the need to start over on any updates performed, and just a general bad time had by all, not to mention lag on editing tools and site itself. As the main admin of the site I have looked into alternatives and decided that we will be transfering to a blog based system which will allow quick easy updates and include a speelchecker as I am almost sure you will find errors if you search the site. This site will still be used as even though it is inefficient, as it allows whole new dimensions of custimization compared to a simple blogging tool. It will most likly just contain project pages linked from the blog, but the bulk will be moved to the blog site. This will not be immidiate as I still need to learn the software, unless a good web developer type person joins the team, but at this point I am proud to announce that the team has grown to about 7 people of varying degrees of dedication three of which I beleive could be considered core members, so I suppose the only question is will it all go up in smoke like it did a few years ago or will we finaly prevail? We have good news, for Auto Gauntlet we have 3 dedicated people on board and funds are being raised as we speak

It has come to our attention that this website was created using a computer at 1600×1200, which has caused problems for lower resolution users, we plan to optimize the site for 1280×960 as many modern computers are running this standard or higher while 1600×1200 is still uncommon in usage even when available

We have also added project specific news to some of the projects, mostly more detailed information on their statuses

hopefully in the comming weeks/months we will also get some pics up, as everyone loves pics, maby even release some beta work, though we cant comment on which project/s it/they might be

first of all the hinting of a new comic series fell through as the artist lost interest and was not as big into pipe dreams like we are

In more hopeful news we once again have a possible project where cars would be bought on a limited buget and asked to either do extrodinary things or compete in a series of challenges and a winner would be decided at the end of each episode. It would much follow the format of the challenges of the British car show Top Gear, but the challenges would be the main focus rather than a side attraction. We currently have 2 people dedicated on board, we are in need of at least 1 more to make the show happen and if we have more then we can have real cameramen/etc instead of taking turns for filming, theres also the problem of buget which will probly be the bigest constraint, so we may seek the aid of big corperations who love to trade money for getting there name out, though assuming we can round up all the video and audio equipment we need I beleive we can fairly quickly raise 2/3 of the needed capital for the pilot episode, since we would sell the cars bought after each episode its the first episode that will likly be the most costly, as we would recover a majority of the money spent after each filming, and with a little luck profit now and then
